Gaming smartphone brands have been establishing a common behavior every year. At the beginning of the year, they release their new gaming phones, and a few months later bring a revised variant with extra features or more advanced hardware. Xiaomi is one of the companies surfing in this new trend and this year’s Black Shark 4 series won’t be an exception. The company is gearing up to introduce the Black Shark 4S lineup with some neat hardware upgrades.
The Shark 4S as usual will be a slight refresh for the Shark 4 announced in March. The device will come with upgraded hardware including the recently unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+. Apparently, the brand also wants to draw attention to the device’s new design. Today, Black Shark is giving us an early look at the smartphone.
The new Black Shark 4S brings some features from the original smartphone. The device has a hexagonal-shaped camera housing that packs a triple-camera setup and retractable shoulder buttons. The changes are in the pattern of the back panel which makes use of more lines compared to its predecessor.
Apparently, the new design is achieved using nanolithography. There is now a big Black Shark logo written on the back of the phone and right below the camera housing is a small green LED. Moreover, the poster confirms that the Black Shark 4S will come in two colorways, one of which is a beautiful white colorway.
